Boating & Activities
Kunming Lake offers pedal boats, rowboats, and electric boat rides (40-80 RMB/hour). The lake is particularly beautiful during summer when lotus flowers bloom. Walking the lakeside promenade takes about 2-3 hours. The Suzhou Street market recreates traditional shopping. Ice skating is popular on the frozen lake during winter.
Visitor Information
Open daily 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM (April-October), 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM (November-March). Park entrance: 20 RMB / 30 RMB. Through ticket (including buildings): 50 RMB / 60 RMB. Located in Haidian District, accessible by subway line 4. Allow at least half a day for a meaningful visit. Weekends are crowded with local families.
